Six Months Later is a book written by Natalie D. Richards. The genre is young adult fiction and

I think the theme is memory loss. The majority of the book made me feel bored. At the end of this

book it got better and became suspenseful. Six Months Later is about Chloe Spinnaker who at first is

an average student who has one good friend named Maggie. Something happens and she wakes up

from her six month long dream she was having. Everything was different and she had a popular

boyfriend. What she would come to find out is that there was a reason she forgot those six months.

Maggie is one of my favorite characters because Chloe did something really bad to her, but when

Chloe was in trouble Maggie helped her and believed her. She was a really good friend. Adam is my

other favorite because when Chloe thought she was crazy, he listened. He helped her a lot with what

she was going through. The author used very descriptive language to help you understand how Chloe

(the main character) is feeling for example, “The panic that’s been buzzing along my skin for the last

hour seizes me like an iron fist, squeezing hard around my chest. It hurts to breathe. Hurts like blades

are slipping between my ribs,” (Richard 275). This is written from the perspective of a high school

girl, in the present day. I don’t recommend this book because ¾ of it was boring and confusing. It’s a

book that you don’t look forward to reading.
